Tick, untick and drag to make your changes
Mai Reach theme gives you a lot of control over what content displays on your blog posts and web pages. For instance if you write evergreen content, you might not want the post date to display. Just untick the header meta box and the post date will not display in your blog post.
To find these dialogue boxes go to…
Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings: then choose content archives or single content.

After you get to the theme settings tab you can choose to edit the content archive settings or the single post/page settings.
Drill down until you find the specific settings you need
If you click the content archives tab you see five more settings tabs.
- enable content types
- post
- category
- post tag
- author
If you click the single content tab there are three more tabs to choose from.
- enable content types
- post
- page
Carefully read through each dialogue box and enable or disable any page elements you want to use. There are a lot of settings. But most of them are self explanatory. My advice is experiment and practice for a while.
When changing settings, make sure you are viewing, the post type that you are editing.
In the screenshot below I’m using the customizer to edit blog post settings (on the left). And I’m viewing a single blog post (on the right) at the same time. So I will see the changes as I make them.

In the dialogue box below, the three stripe icon tells you that you can drag that page element to a different position in the stacking order.

1.) tick the box to make that page element show
2.) un-tick any box to hide any page element
3.) drag using the three stripe icon to rearrange the post title, content and featured image etc.

4.) use Genesis shortcodes to add post meta information
5.) use the featured image or a default image for the page header background image
6.) set the background image overlay color
7.) set the page header background color opacity
8.) choose light or dark text for the page header
